Why Church ?
My husband and I were talking this morning about why people don’t want to go to church. So that got me to thinking about when I was out in the world doing what I thought I wanted to do and what I use to think about church. I thought that it was full of people that really didn’t care about anybody basically hypocrites. I did not want to attend church at all I wasn’t going to be one of them.
Fast forward to the present time. About 36 years ago I began my journey with my Savior. Through this walk with Him He has shone me the importance of finding a bible believing church to attend. KEEP YOUR FOCUS ON GOD! Not people of the church. They of course can be your friends and develop relationships but the most important relationship of all is the one you will have with Jesus. You need that personal relationship with the one true God when you develop that relationship and put Him first all other things fall into place. I am not saying that you won’t have problems because the Word plainly tells us that we will have problems but we have a helper to help us through everything that we go through.
So getting to the question Why Church?
To help us develop a personal relationship with God and have friends that are on the same path that we are on also to obey the Word.
In Hebrews chapter 10 verses 24 and 25 the Word tells us not to forsake assembling together.
In Matthew 18: 20 Jesus is teaching and he tells us For where two or three are assembled in My name, there I am in their midst.
If you are wondering how to start on your journey with God. Confess that Jesus died for your sins believe on Him and confess that you have sinned and fallen short. For we have all fallen short of the glory of God.
Say this prayer Jesus I have sinned against You and have gone my own way. Please forgive me of my sins. I believe that You are Gods son who died in my place, than rose from the dead with the power and authority to give me new life. Thanks for making me a child of God. I now surrender my life to you and your purposes. Give me by your Holy Spirit, the boldness to confess my faith in you to others. I ask this in your name, Jesus. Amen.
Now you need to tell someone about your new faith in Jesus, read the bible and do what you read, find a bible believing church to attend, pray all the time.
